Stitch Meditation

During the Pandemic I picked up a new practice called Stitch Meditation. Heidi Iverson and Botanical Colors had a monthly stitch in over Zoom. Heidi led it and taught us a new stitch each month. The idea was to do one meditation a day. During such a time of un-surety especially as an artist this gave me time each day to unwind and connect to material and mind. I’ve never been one to be able to meditate, I always need to be doing something so this allowed for meditation through movement. I don’t do this daily anymore but some days it’s good to go back to. Today being a snowy holiday and a week of working on a proposal it seemed like a good time
